Exporting to Scientific Dissemination Formats

The Export menu adapts its available options according to the active mode:

  • In IbiScript mode, it allows the conversion of the source file into six standard formats for research and publishing:
  • pure Unicode text for elementary diplomatic editions;
  • HTML for direct publication on the web portal;
  • EpiDoc XML to ensure data interoperability according to international Digital Humanities criteria;
  • JSONL for relational analysis and high-performance querying via SQL engines (e.g. DuckDB);
  • Typst and PDF, the latter being compiled directly by the server from the former, delivering a high-definition, print-ready typographic document.
  • In EpiDoc XML mode, export is restricted solely to pure EpiDoc, which in practice constitutes a direct transpilation operation.
